Due to the current flooding that the Bloomsburg, PA, area is experiencing, unfortunately, this year’s Bloomsburg Fair has been canceled, which includes the cancellation of  Ryan & The Difference’s performances for the dates of September 26th-30th, 2011.

However, please note that we are diligently working to schedule performances at alternate venues for these dates.  If you are aware of potential venues or have any suggestions…please let us know!

As progress is made for rescheduling these dates and venue information/details are finalized, we’ll be sure to keep you informed as soon as possible!  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you so much for your patience and understanding!  As always, we sincerely appreciate your continued support for RYAN PELTON & THE DIFFERENCE!

This year’s Ultimate Fan Weekend will be held Friday, October 28, and Saturday, October 29, in Fairfield, Ohio (near Cincinnati). Both the concert and the Fan Party will be at the Fairfield Banquet & Convention Center, located at 74 Donald Dr., Fairfield, OH 45014.

This year, we have made it even easier to book your hotel and purchase tickets to the events – you can do it all through our online store. Our shows regularly scheduled for today – Sunday, August 14th, 2011 – at the Carbon County Fair in Palmerton, PA (7:00pm & 9:00pm) have been canceled.  The cancellations have been made due to inclement weather and continual rain.  The constant rain has made it simply too dangerous for us to perform at this evening’s fair.  Thank you so much for your patience & understanding!  We anticipate seeing you at next year’s Carbon County Fair or at another PA fair later this summer/fall!

In a show of solidarity, with our friends at the Carbon County Fair, we have donated our performance piece for the day back to the Carbon County Fair.

When I bought the bus, I learned that it was originally owned by the Rolling Stones, and later, by Journey. What I didn’t know was that after Journey owned it, it was leased out by a trucking company to dozens of bands, logging almost a million miles in tours.

We learned a lot more about the bus’s history during our run at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA, over the Fourth of July weekend. Our FOH (front of house) engineer, Tim Taraldsen used our bus for more than a decade of touring as road manager for a wide variety of bands. While we were in Valdosta, he spent many hours giving a history lesson to our own Lane on Bass (they’re both craggy old road dogs, so they hit it off well…).

So, check out the video below, and learn a bit more about our old tour bus, The Renegade. And, to all the crew members and band folks who lived on this bus before I bought it – I hope you’re very pleased to know that The Renegade Lives!

The reason for this post, however, is to offer Ryan’s apology that we won’t be at Knoebel’s Amusement Park on July 5th. (We WILL be there the 6th and 7th, however!) Here’s the deal:

We finish our run at Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA, on July 4th. We will then drive overnight to Pennsyvania. However, there’s just no way we can arrive in time to set up and be ready for shows on the 5th. If there were any way we could do it, we would, but as of now, there’s no such thing as a transporter a la Star Trek, so we have to make the drive. And the bus only goes so fast. It’s going to take many hours to get all the way up there.

Ryan asked me to post a message about this, and to offer his sincere apology that we will only be at the park for two days. He – and the rest of us! – hopes that you will all be able to come join us at this wonderful, family-friendly park. Remember, there are several shows each day, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to hear us perform. And each show will be different, and we’ll be doing a lot of material that we weren’t doing last year.

So, again, we’re sorry we can’t be there the 5th, but hope to see you on the 6th and 7th. Until then, have fun, and… as I always say,
